A mixed 12 pack of red (8), white (2) and Rose(2)!
2 bottles of 2019 Quinta do Romeu Mohino do Gato (meaning the cat's hideout) is a very fresh, bright red blend from the Douro Valley. Fermented in concrete lagares, there is no oak and little tannin on this wine and it is young and lively. At 12.5% alcohol, this is the perfect weeknight wine!
2 bottles of 2017 Claudia's Red: Brother and sister team of Cláudia and Oscar Quevedo produce wines on the family estate in the Douro. This wine is firm and slightly tannic while also bursting with black fruits. This wine is aged 10 months in 500 liter French oak casks. Very structured, rich and elegant. This dark ruby colored wine is a riper alternative to the Oscar's Red.
2 bottles of 2019 Oscar's Red: Fresh, bold and well balanced with a very typical Douro Valley profile. Think fruits like strawberries and raspberries, spices and a touch of dark chocolate notes. This wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and then 25% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 6 months - giving the wine just a touch of tannin and backbone.
2 bottles of 2020 Oscar's Rosé: Elegant and fresh, this cheery dry rosé from the upper Douro Valley is perfect for sipping by the pool at a summer BBQ! With balanced acidity and lush strawberry notes, this wine works with so many dishes. Fun Fact: It’s made from one of the principal grapes, Touriga Nacional, used to make Port reds in the Douro.
2 bottles of Quevedo Oscar's White 2019: The 2019 Oscar's white is incredibly fresh and zippy, fermented in all stainless steel. Think Meyer lemon and tart apples!
2 bottles of 2019 Lacrau Red: Soft tannins, juicy and bright, this is a medium-bodied wine good for sipping at a BBQ, with meat, or anything with red sauce! Fermented and aged in stainless steel.
