Overview: 2019 Quinta do Romeu Mohino do Gato (meaning the cat's hideout) is a very fresh, bright red blend from the Douro Valley. Fermented in concrete lagares, there is no oak and little tannin on this wine and it is young and lively. At 12.5% alcohol, this is the perfect weeknight wine!

Varietals: 60% Tinta Barroca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 10% Touriga Nacional, 10% Touriga Franca, 5% Tinto Cão, 5% Souzão.

Quinta do Romeu: is an incredible family farm in the Douro that has stood the test of time producing cork, olive oil and wine throughout the establishment of the Portuguese Republic, two world wars, the Carnation Revolution of 1974 and Portugal’s integration into the European Union.
The Quinta is located at 1,050 feet above sea level in the upper Douro - the coolness of the evenings at high elevation allows for freshness and elegance. Romeu is certified organic and intervenes as little as possible. The incredible biodiversity at Romeu - wild cork forests, organic olive groves and vineyards - creates an ideal setting for organic farming, as you can see from the pictures below.
