Overview: The classic Ruby’s “Older Brother”, their Finest Reserve has more complexity and softer tannins. Old-vineyard domaine grapes from 3 of the higher-quality, non-vintage harvests aged an average 5 years in neutral French oak
Style: Ruby Port.
Age: Blended Port, average of 5 years.
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Cão, Mourisco, Tinta Pomar and Rufete from older domaine vineyards.
Tasting notes: Generous, good volume, good structure, dense, soft finish, long and persistent.
Enjoy with: Warm grilled figs on blue cheese toasts, poached figs with reduced sauce and vanilla ice cream, dense chocolate cake, mocha/chocolate mousse, chocolate-covered orange peels, and a variety of cheeses.
Color: Brownish ruby with orange highlights.
Aroma: Dried fruit, dried fig, orange marmalade, notes of black cherry, raspberry, dry tobacco leaves and vanilla.
Winemaking: Hand-picked; foot-treading in traditional lagars.
Suggestions: Port to drink now or age 5 to 6 years in the bottle. Serve at 15°C/59°F.
