Herdade Aldeia de Cima is located amongst cork trees in Portugal’s southern Alentejo region, one of the most magical, sustainable and historically complex wine regions in the country.  The region’s winemaking legacy dates back to its time as part of the Roman Empire when wine was made in clay vats, or Talhas.

Tasting notes - This dark ruby red wine is partially aged in Tahlha (amphora), and has a rich and juicy body. Think blackberry & currant with a bit of pepper

Varietals - Trincadeira, Alfrocheiro, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês

Winemaking: Aged in a mix of amphora, used french oak barrels and concrete thanks

Pairings - Meaty dishes or pastas with red sauce
